We specialize in three areas:

  • Relationships
  • Transitions
  • Leadership
Our process is characterized by the saying,

"First the mind, then the heart, the power of one."

"In organizations, real power and energy is generated through relationships. The patterns of relationships and the capacities to form them are more important than tasks, functions, roles, and positions." Margaret Wheatly

Through Relational Awareness Training we assist individuals, teams, boards, committees as well as departments and divisions in gaining the insight and understanding they need to work with greater focus and effectiveness.

"He (or she) who rejects change is the architect of decay.  The only human institution which rejects change is the cemetary."  Harold Wilson

When change confronts us we must make the transition to meet the challenge.  What we were is no longer sufficient, we must grow.  We have helped many men, women, groups and organizations make the transition from what was good then to what is good now.  Through understanding what the transition is and developing a plan to make it, today becomes bearable and tomorrow seems full of promise.

"The leader can never close the gap between himself (herself) and the group.  If he (she) does, he (she) is no longer what he (she) must be.  He (she) must walk a tightrope between the consent he (she) must have and the control he (she) must exert."  Vince Lombardi

We believe that leadership is first and formost a choice.  We also believe that the individual who makes that choice must know and understand themself, their goal and the people who are going with them.  We help these men and women know and understand themselves and gain the insight to better understand the needs of others.

Our coaching process is dynamic.  We only do "foundational" workshops.  The real work takes place over time through meetings between the coach and the coachee.  This way progress takes place in the dynamic of the everyday needs and challenges.  We work with our clients in the midst of what's working on them.

Too often the intensive multi-day workshops inspire but that inspiration wanes over time.  Though these intensive experiences provide insights these insights are often overwhelmed by the demand awaiting the client when he or she return to "the real world."

We work with our clients as a part of their daily responsibilities and not as something "other."  It's in the midst of the heat and friction of our daily challenges that we are prepared for the smithy's hammer.  It is the heat of the fire and the cold of the trough that we are tempered and strengthened.
